A company that provides legally required notification services for businesses that experience a data breach won the Tulsa StartUp Series cybersecurity live pitch Sunday.

Founded by Geoffrey Simpson, Breach Management LLC was awarded $40,000 at the StartUp event, which is powered by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation and supported by Cox Business, Cox Media and the OSU Riata Center for Entrepreneurship.

The Tulsa StartUp Series partnered with The University of Tulsa and the George Kaiser Family Foundation to create the new cybersecurity category in collaboration with Tulsa Cyber Summit 2019, which started Sunday and goes through Tuesday.

Besides the money to kickstart its business, Breach Management received a paid downtown apartment and a one-year membership to 36 Degrees North, Tulsa’s basecamp for entrepreneurs.
